2015-16 Confirmation Information

The 2014-2015 Confirmation session is soon coming to a close. Last night for ninth graders is May 6th and the last night for sixth through eighth graders is May 13th.

Registration for the 2015-16 school year begins Sunday, May 10! Click here to register for Confirmation and Sunday/Wednesday School for the 2015-16 School Year.

At Peace Lutheran Church, Confirmation is an exciting, interactive journey that begins with an orientation meeting in the spring of the student’s fifth-grade year.  The experience includes:

Large group presentations with pastors and the Director of Confirmation Ministries
Small group discussions facilitated by caring adult volunteers
Regular worship, including reflection on as well as participation in worship services
Volunteer/service project opportunities both at church and in the community
Lock-ins, Retreats, and Workshops

Schedule for next year will be as follows:


Sixth and Seventh Grade

5:15-6:00 PM Wednesdays, or

6:15-7:00 PM Wednesdays


Eighth and Ninth Grade

8:00-8:45 PM Wednesdays


Tenth Grade

Meets the following days in August – October:

  • Sunday, August 23rd6:30-7:30 PM (Students & Parents)
  • Sunday, September 13th – God’s Work, Our Hands Activity
  • Sunday, September 27th3:00-5:00 PM – Life/Death Conversation (Students & Parents)
  • Wednesday, September 30th6:30-8:30 PM – Life/Death Tour (Students & Parents)
  • Sunday, October 11th3:00-5:00 PM – Workshop (Required for Students)
  • Wednesday, October 218:00-9:00 PM – Rehearsal (Required for Students)
  • Sunday, October 251:30 or 3:00 PM Rite of Affirmation Service


The regular weekly schedule for sixth through ninth grade will begin Wednesday, September 16th.

Through study – Old and New Testaments, Luther’s Small Catechism, and Lutheran Theology and Doctrine – through relationships built with others, and through experiences gained by doing service projects and volunteering, we strive:

to instill in our youth a desire for lifelong learning,
to affirm their salvation as a free gift from God,
and to equip them to live out their calling as part of the body of Christ.
