Global Missions

Peace partners with the village of Jumelle, in Haiti – the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Each year a group from Peace travels to Jumelle to build relationships and share God’s love with one another. On a recent trip, the group built benches for the church and led Vacation Bible School for the children, telling the story of Holy Week.

In addition, Peace has helped to fund a cooperative rice mill that produces enough revenue to pay the teachers at the school associated with our partner congregation. In Haiti not all children have the opportunity to go to school, and through this project children have the chance for an elementary-school education, regardless of family income. Meals from Kids against Hunger are used for school lunches.
