First time at Peace? Here’s what to know.

Do I need to dress up?
Not at all. Come as you are. You’ll see jeans, sweaters, and the occasional suit, often in the same pew.

What time should I get there?
Aim for about 10 minutes before the service starts. That leaves time to park, settle in, and say hello to a greeter if you’d like a hand finding your way.

Where are you located, and where should I park?
We’re located at the corner of 41st Street and Larch Avenue with entrances on all sides of the church. A large parking lot wraps around the building, and street parking is available on Larch Ave and on 43rd Street.

Is there something for my kids?
Kids belong in worship here, and we mean it. At the back of the sanctuary you’ll find the “prayground,” a space with sensory toys and hands-on activities where little ones can move and play without missing a thing. Sit nearby, let them explore, and don’t worry about the noise. We love hearing it.

Sunday school (Peace Kids) meets throughout the school year during the 9 and 10:10a hours for kids 18 months old through 5th grade. Most families worship one hour and do Sunday school the other, so kids get to be part of both.

Will I have to participate?
Only as much as you want to. Sing along or simply listen. Nobody will put you on the spot or ask you to introduce yourself.

Am I welcome at communion?
Yes, you are. We share Holy Communion at every service, and everyone is invited to the table. Gluten-free and juice options are available.

How long does worship last?
About an hour.

Traditional or modern—which should I choose?
Traditional services center on hymns, piano or organ, and the liturgy. Modern services feature a band and contemporary worship music. Either way, you’ll hear the same good news and find the same warm welcome.

Is Peace accessible?
All entrances are handicap accessible, and everything is on one level. Hearing assistive devices are available; just ask a worship host. The 10:10 service is ASL-interpreted.

Can I try it from home first?
Of course. Watch live on Saturday at 5:30p or Sunday at 8a and 10:10a at peacelutheran.online.church. Plenty of our members started out that way.
