Camp 2027
Registration for summer camp 2027 is now open through Peace!
Lutherans Outdoors in South Dakota (LOSD)
Outlaw Ranch (near Custer, SD) offers camp experiences for those who will be completing grades 3rd-12th and variety of family camps. To help make this possible for more families, Peace will arrange transportation (for an additional fee) for those who attend camp the week of June 13-18. You can certainly sign up for any of the other camps they offer; you’ll just need to provide your own transportation. Limited spots available for ages/genders! It's first come, first serve. For more details about Outlaw Ranch's camp options, go to losd.org/outlaw-summer and then head back here to register!
NeSoDak (near Enemy Swim Lake in Northeast South Dakota) offers a variety of camps featuring waterfront adventures for those who will be completing grades 1st-12th (note that grades 1st and 2nd are with a parent). For more details about NeSoDak's camp options, go to losd.org/nesodak-summer and then head back here to register!
Klein Ranch (near Isabel, SD - west of Mobridge) is a working ranch on the prairie, a perfect spot for the horse enthusiast! They offer camps for those who will be completing grades 7th-12th. They also offer counselor or wrangler-in-training camp for those older. For more details about each week's options, go to losd.org/klein-summer and then head back here to register!
There is a $175 deposit required for registration. This amount is non-refundable unless the spot can be filled. Camp must be 100% paid two weeks prior to the first day of camp.
Shetek Lutheran Ministries (Slayton, MN)
There are a variety of options for 2nd-12th graders. Week-long programs, mini weeks, and a couple of specialized camps for older campers! There's something for everyone. Please note that their registration is based on grade entering in 2027-2028 school year. Go to shetek.org to register for Shetek camps!
Camperships
As we have done in the past for those going to an LOSD camp, Peace will offer a $150 campership to those attending a full week of camp and a $75 campership to those attending a partial week of camp (one campership per student per summer). You MUST register through Peace in order to receive this campership.
You can use Scrip and fundraising money to pay any and all portions of the cost of camp. PLEASE CONTACT PAM TO DO SO. Camp must be 100% paid two weeks prior to the first day of camp. All payments can be made here. There is a $150 deposit required for registration. This amount is non-refundable unless the spot can be filled.
Camp questions?
Check with Pam Tetzlaff for more information. If you’re not able to find a camp that works for your schedule, for your grade level, or the experience you are looking for, check with us about other options that are within a couple hours of here in both Minnesota and Iowa.
Transportation
Transportation to and from camp is typically up to each family. We are, however, coordinating a bus for transportation out to and back from the June 13-18 week at Outlaw Ranch. This tends to be the most popular camp option for our families since there are a wide variety of camp options for those who completed grades 3-12. If you're attending one of the other camps but would like to check in with other families about carpooling, let us know and we can connect all those also attending that camp.
