Necessities for Neighbors is our local outreach program to help our neighbors in need. Each month, we distribute toilet paper, laundry detergent, feminine hygiene products, and diapers to over 300 local families.

Peace Lutheran Church partners with other ELCA churches in Sioux Falls as Charis Ministry Partners to sponsor Food to You, a weekly mobile food pantry. Approximately four times per year, Peace collects food and serves at the Food to You distribution.
Worship at
St. Dysmas

Several times per year, Peace Lutheran members have the opportunity to worship with members of St. Dysmas of South Dakota, an ELCA congregation located within the South Dakota State Penitentiary.
Feeding South Dakota

Feeding South Dakota is a hunger relief organization, fighting daily to eliminate hunger in this state. Most importantly, they’re now doing it with Peace’s help!

Jumelle, Haiti

Peace partners with the village of Jumelle, in Haiti – the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Each year a group from Peace travels to Jumelle to build relationships and share God’s love with one another.

Peace partners with the village of Jumelle, in Haiti – the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Each year a group from Peace travels to Jumelle to build relationships and share God’s love with one another. On a recent trip, the group built benches for the church and led Vacation Bible School for the children, telling the story of Holy Week.In addition, Peace has helped to fund a cooperative rice mill that produces enough revenue to pay the teachers at the school associated with our partner congregation. In Haiti not all children have the opportunity to go to school, and through this project children have the chance for an elementary-school education, regardless of family income.
