PHILLIPPIANS 4 - Serving One Another as Saintly Siblings
When this world feels shadowed and cold, the presence of the Church can be a warm, welcoming light. Although we are a messy and imperfect family, God forms us into a community where we can share the gifts of God with the people of God. We don’t always get it right; but when we do, we can share blessed comfort with one another.
– Pastor Alex
With the words of saint Catherine of Siena, Let us pray: “Power of the eternal Father, help me. Wisdom of the Son, enlighten the eye of my understanding. Tender mercy of the Holy Spirit, unite my heart to yourself. Eternal God, restore health to the sick and life to the dead. Give us a voice, your own voice, to cry out to you for mercy for the world. You, Light, give us light. You, Wisdom, give us wisdom. You, Supreme Strength, strengthen us. Amen.” (ELW p.87)
