2 CORINTHIANS 5 – Spirit-Made Saints for Ministry
When I consider all of my weaknesses, those places that are growing edges, I feel as though I could not possibly be up for ministry leadership. However, that is exactly the places where the Holy Spirit of God shows up to give me what I need, and to make me strong in service. Thanks be to God for the Spirit, who transforms us into saints for the ministry of reconciliation!
– Pastor Alex
With the words of saint Francis of Assisi, Let us pray: Lord, make us instruments of your peace. Where there is hatred, let us sow love; where there is injury, pardon; where there is discord, union; where there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; where there is sadness, joy. Grant that we may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; to be understood as to understand; to be loved as to love For it is in giving that we receive; in pardoning that wea are pardoned; and in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen. (ELW p.87)
