John 14:5
“And you know the way to the place where I am going.”
I find great comfort in knowing where I am going. Transportation makes me anxious, and whenever I travel, even going to and from the grocery store, I like to have my maps app turned on and prompting me. The directions are not always reliable, but I do appreciate the reassurance that I am not travelling alone, and that there is a hopeful destination. But how much better Jesus is than a GPS! Reliable, compassionate, kind in redirection, we have a God who is trustworthy, and who will always take us down the right path. From the day we are born, all our lives long, and even after we die, we are promised that God has a good destination in store. And, even better; God is right there, riding sidecar with us.

Let us pray: Jesus, thank you for guiding us along every step of our journey. When we do not know the way, help us to yet go out with good courage and trust in you. Amen.
