PSALM 22 – a prayer for comfort in grief 

There are times when we might wonder if our words are really valued by God. But you know something? God still wants those aching, heartbroken prayers. God asks us to be honest, to be open, and to share our hearts; perhaps especially when we are hurting and filled with doubt. So if you are in season of grief, I pray you find comfort in this Psalm today.

Let us pray: Almighty God, your love never fails, and you can turn the shadow of death into daybreak. Help us to receive your word with believing hearts, so that, confident in your promises, we may have hope an be life out of sorrow into the joy and peace of your presence; through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.
