The Trees that Tell Our Story

Watch Pr. Jason share this month's stewardship story in the video above.

For many years, the pine trees on the north side of our campus have been more than landscaping. Each one was planted as a living memorial for a beloved Peace member — quiet reminders of the lives and faith that have shaped this community.

Sadly, like many trees across Sioux Falls, our pines have developed pine wilt. Two of them now need to be removed and replaced.

Our ash trees are facing challenges too. Many of you noticed the city removing ash trees along our south boulevard this winter. Our remaining ash trees continue to need extra care as they face ongoing disease pressure.

How You Can Help

Caring for our campus well means removing what's dying, replanting what's needed, and making sure this place remains beautiful and welcoming for generations to come — and that takes resources.

  • Pine tree removal: approximately $1,700 per tree

  • Larger ash tree removal: up to $2,500 per tree

  • Removing multiple trees at once helps reduce overall costs

You can support the campus tree fund through Church Center or any of our regular giving channels. If you have questions, our church office is happy to help.

Thank you for your generosity and your care for this place we share together.
