More than Mini Golf…
The Endowment at Peace is often invited to support new and innovative ministry ideas, both inside and outside the walls of Peace. Recently, the Endowment was asked to fund another meaningful initiative: a staff and council social gathering at Thunder Road.
On paper, the request was simple—pizza, fountain drinks, mini golf, bowling, and laser tag.
But what did those funds really provide?
Roars of celebration as our Communication Director, Jodi, sank four holes-in-one while staff looked on in amazement.
Belly laughs when Pastor Elizabeth named her mini-golf team “Darren and the Perimenopausals”—custom bandanas and all.
Breathless teamwork as Council President Josh Hofmeyer and former Council President Janet Schlueter led their teams in a lively game of laser tag.
Shouts of disbelief as Pastor Paul picked up an impossible spare on the bowling lanes.
And, perhaps most importantly, unhurried conversations between staff and council members—moments where relationships were strengthened outside the rhythm of meetings and work tasks.
In a word, the Endowment made space for community to grow.
Through your generosity, the Endowment invested in the raw material that fosters creativity, collaboration, and long-lasting teams. Thank you for making moments like this possible.
If you haven’t yet designated a portion of your giving to the Endowment, you can do so through the Church Center app or by contacting the church office.
